These terms govern your use of therichnobodyknows.com and the content published under The Rich Nobody Knows by Ghetto-Genius Productions. By using this website, subscribing to our newsletter, or purchasing our digital products, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

01What we publish

The Rich Nobody Knows produces narrative history and storytelling — video episodes about people history overlooked, written works published as the Fortune Files Anthology, and related material under the Paradox Kids and PARADOX properties.

Educational and entertainment purposes only

Our work discusses historical figures, wealth, commerce and money. It is storytelling and general education. It is not financial, investment, legal, tax or professional advice, it is not a recommendation to buy or sell anything, and it should not be relied on when making financial decisions. Speak to a qualified professional who knows your circumstances.

02Historical accuracy

We research our subjects carefully, but historical records are incomplete and frequently contested. Accounts of the people we cover often rest on limited or disputed sources, and we present them as narrative history rather than settled fact. Where records conflict, we tell you so.

03Intellectual property

All scripts, narration, artwork, characters, names, logos, video and written content on this site are owned by Ghetto-Genius Productions and protected by copyright and trademark law. Several of our properties are federally registered with the United States Copyright Office.

You may:

Watch, read and share links to our published work.
Quote brief excerpts with clear attribution and a link back.

You may not, without written permission:

Reupload, mirror, or redistribute our videos or written work.
Use our characters, artwork, names or scripts in your own products.
Use our content to train machine-learning or generative AI systems.
Create derivative works, translations or adaptations.
Present our work as your own, or remove attribution.

04User conduct

Most of what follows is obvious, but it is worth writing down. When you use this site, you agree not to:

Use the site for any unlawful purpose, or to harass, threaten or impersonate anyone.
Attempt to gain access to any part of the site, server or account you were not given access to.
Probe, scan, overload or otherwise interfere with the site's normal operation, or attempt to circumvent any security or rate limit.
Scrape, crawl or bulk-download our content by automated means without written permission.
Submit an email address that is not yours, or sign up on someone else's behalf without their knowledge.
Submit deliberately false information through any form or conversation on the site.
Upload or transmit anything containing malware, or anything designed to damage or disrupt.

If you breach these terms we may restrict or remove your access, and remove your address from our list, without notice. Nothing here limits any other remedy available to us.

05Video content

Our episodes are published on YouTube. Watching them there is also governed by the YouTube Terms of Service. How we handle data through the YouTube API is described in our Privacy Policy.

06Digital products

Books and journals in the Fortune Files Anthology are sold through our Etsy storefront. Purchases are made on Etsy and are subject to Etsy's terms, policies and refund handling, not these terms. Digital products are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use — you may not resell, redistribute or reproduce them for others.

07Newsletter

If you subscribe, you will receive updates about new episodes and releases. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. How we handle your address is described in our Privacy Policy.

08Third-party links and services

This site links to services we do not control, including YouTube, Etsy and our email provider. We are not responsible for their content, terms or practices. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms.

09Availability

We provide this site and its content on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that content will remain available indefinitely. We may add, change or remove content at any time.

10Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ghetto-Genius Productions is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of this site, our content, or any decision made in reliance on it.

11Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, the date at the top of this page changes. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised terms.

12Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
